Project Highlights
Phase 1:
Transformation of Grade II Queensgate Market into a vibrant community library hub & food hall
Creation of a new public square, with heritage elements preserved and reimagined
Practical completion expected Spring 2026; grand opening Summer 2026
Phase 2:
Refurbishment of the historic former library on Princess Alexandra Walk into a museum, art gallery, café, plus education/event spaces over two floors, with universal-access extensions
