2-4 Whitworth Street
Mainer Associates has been appointed by Glenbrook Ltd to serve as the BREEAM Residential, Home Quality Mark (HQM) Assessor for their landmark residential tower development at Whitworth Street West in Manchester. Our scope includes preparing a Climate Change Report and Sustainability Statement, featuring a Circular Economy component, to support the project’s sustainability targets.
The scheme proposes a 44-storey, 364-unit residential tower with 7,750 sq ft of active internal and external amenity space and a striking triple-height terracotta colonnade that activates the streetscape and enhances local heritage context. The design exceeds RIBA’s 2030 Climate Challenge through energy-smart systems, renewable technology integration, sustainable materials, improved ventilation, thermal and acoustic performance, and community-focused public realm.
