Mainer Associates has been appointed by Contractor Bowmer & Kirkland (B&K) Ltd to deliver the Whole Life Carbon Assessment and act as Carbon Reduction Specialist for Landsec’s The Republic at Mayfield, Manchester.

Forming a key part of the first phase of the Mayfield development, The Republic will provide Manchester with high-quality, BREEAM Excellent, Grade A office space. Positioned at the southern edge of the masterplan, the scheme is designed around principles of openness, inclusivity, and activity, with a strong connection to the adjacent new city park.

At ground level, a public-facing forum will offer cultural and community space, featuring a striking double-height, mixed-use area that blurs the boundary between the park and the building – creating an engaging, accessible transition between urban life and green space.
