Mainer Associates was appointed by Wrenbridge Sport, and later Buckingham Group to support the achievement of a BREEAM ‘Good’ rating for the York Community Stadium.

Completed in 2020, the 8,500-seat stadium - home to York City FC and York City Knights - is part of a wider community complex including a leisure centre, library, and NHS drop-in facility.

Despite delays since its initial proposal in 2009, the project met its sustainability goals with Mainer Associates guiding the BREEAM assessment, ensuring responsible design, energy efficiency, and long-term social value.
